Health Care? Snooze
There are a lot of things that annoy/enrage me about the way the mainstream press covers campaigns and elections, but this really makes me want to scream. Half the time pundits and reporters chastise candidates for not offering specifics, but when they do actually give specifics, the press chastises them for being boring. To wit, the Politico’s coverage of the Democrats’ health care forum in Las Vegas, with the headline, “More Than You Wanted to Know About Health Care” and the following lede:
Because you did not want to spend your Saturday sitting in a room for three hours listening to Democratic presidential candidates tell you how they are going to provide universal health care for America, Politico did it for you.
Poor reporter. I wonder if he has health insurance?
